Taking A Cue From The Limited Dresses That Wow

Lately I have become obsessed with one style of clothing: dresses! I just cannot get enough of them and the fun patterns and colors that are available this summer. Bright bold colors are “in” right now, as are fun flirty shapes and styles. I like wearing dresses because I feel really feminine and super comfortable. They are so easy to grab and wear on hot summer days. Here’s a picture of my most recent dress find: an adorable bright printed maxi dress from TJ Maxx. I’m in love. : )

One store with a great selection of dresses that often gets left out is The Limited. I have only started shopping there more recently because I used to think that they only sold “fancy” professional looking clothing. I’m a nurse…I wear scrubs all day, so I have never needed office type clothes. I was so wrong, though. They have lots of casual pieces and tons of fun looks, especially in their dress choices. Keep reading and see what you think.

Here’s a few of my current faves:

This Stripe Colorblock Dress ($79.90) speaks right to my heart (most dresses do!). It’s a flattering shape with a bright pop of pink at the top and a feminine little tie around the waist. It looks chic on its own, but would look even more put together with a blazer and a pair of heels. Perfect for a night out with the girls!

Is this Asymmetrical Printed Panel T-Shirt Dress ($79.90) a scene stealer or what? I can just imagine how comfortable this t-shirt style dress would be. Add the fun bright pattern and this dress is a hit. The grey side serves to balance out the pattern and the sash defines the waist, which is something we all want, of course. I’m really hoping to add this dress to my collection soon.

This dress is made with one of my favorite fabrics: chiffon. The Forenza Belted Tank Dress ($108) is a light chiffon with fun pleats at the bust. The bright pop of orange adds some life and interest into the cobalt dress. It comes with the belt in the picture and can be worn with or without, depending upon your preference. I would love to wear this dress to a wedding that we have coming up!

I love the casual look of this dress…and that at the same time it’s a classic shape and color that would never go out of style. This Two-Tone Ponte Dress ($89.90) is a winner with the sweet full shape and the color choices. It’s a stretchy fabric that would be comfortable and soft. I think I’d wear this for date night since it’s casual and subtly sexy.

I have to end with my favorite type of dress right now: the maxi dress! It’s so effortlessly stylish and there’s no need to worry about it being too short. This Pleated Maxi Dress ($98) is absolutely adorable, from the black and grey pattern to the bright pop of blue. It’s a knit fabric with pleating in the middle to flatter your figure. I love that they made sure that the black was on the hip area since that’s always the area that we want to slim down. This dress screams summer barbecue/pool party.

Here’s two more that I can’t resist sharing because they are on SALE for under $60. I love that they have such great sale prices, so don’t forget to check out the sale section!

So, let’s be honest, all of those dresses are adorable and totally worthy of being in my (and your) closet. Believe me, I know…they are calling my name. Since The Limited can be a little pricey, don’t forget to check for Limited coupons to see if you can save a little money. Hey, if you save enough, maybe you can get another dress?! That’s how I like to think. : )

They are also having a buy one, get one 50% off sale right now with tops and jewelry. Win.

Do y’all ever shop at The Limited? Which dress is your favorite?
