So lately I’ve been buying a variety of different beauty products just to see if I like them or not. From all of my experimentation I’ve found some amazing products that I’m crazy over. Whether it’s face primer or powder, I often try to find the “perfect” product to stick with. Yes, I admit often times I get bored of certain beauty products so I switch to something else, but if I find beauty items I really love I almost always continue to use them through the years.
Want to know what’s on top of my list today? I can’t promise that it won’t change tomorrow but here’s my top 5 beauty items and what I think about each one.
1. Tarte Provacateur SPF 8 Pressed Mineral Powder and Compact
From the packaging (it looks like a quilt!) to what this company stands for, I am now a big Tarte fan. At first I was skeptical of mineral powder in general, just because when I’ve tried mineral powder in the past it has been really messy and doesn’t stay on my face very well. With Tarte, however, this powder is a whole ‘nother story. Here are the ingredients of this makeup from Beauty.com.

2. Cargo Bronzing Powder
Cargo cosmetics are a lovely way to add an instant glow to your complextion. I’m currently in love with their powders. They add the perfect amount of color that you can apply to the apple of your cheeks. I recently wore this over my Tarte makeup and felt like I was glowing. It instantly refreshes a look and is lovely for the fall and winter.
This is what Beauty.com says about this glowy bronzer:
“‘The best bronzer in the business,’ say our pro artist fans. Our award-winning bronzer is a global best-seller and universally known for giving gals everywhere a natural-looking golden glow.” I totally agree!
3. Urban Decay Supercurl Curling Mascara
I’m always on the hunt for a mascara that works well on my eyelashes. Another key factor for me is discovering mascara that doesn’t flake. I would consider Urban Decay as having quality mascara cosmetics that don’t flake or come off of your eyes.
I’m guessing the Urban Decay Lush Lash Mascara is another great mascara even though I personally haven’t tried it. Depending on the type of eyelashes you have, either mascara would make your eyes pop and stand out!
Plus, I just learned about this from JoeShopping.com’s product description of the mascara:

4. Too Faced Primed and Poreless Skin Smoothing Face Primer
Too Faced primer is my BFF because I have oily skin, specifically in my T-zone, and I use it because it creates a flawless complexion. It goes on smoothly and makes your skin feel silky smooth, and I’m not just saying that because it sounds good either. Ha ha.
If you are a non-foundation/powder gal, this also works by itself! I like the description on drugstore.com: “This one-of a-kind makeup primer was scientifically formulated to wear under bronzers, foundation powders or alone to achieve the look of flawless skin without makeup!”
I have very sensitive skin so I’m constantly on the lookout for hypoallergenic cosmetics that don’t cause my skin to break out. That’s why all of the beauty items I am showing you are on my top 5 list. There’s one beauty item more left to discover…what do you think it is?
5. NARS Lip Gloss Orgasm
Sigh. I LOVE this lip gloss. It goes on smoothly without sticky gloss that most women don’t like. It’s basically a thicker lip gloss with more pigment. I happen to like it because it stays on my lips for a long period of time and looks great with an all natural makeup look. It’s basically a very light pink color that matches with your natural lip shade but makes them feel lovely and nourished at the same time. If you haven’t tried NARS you must!!
And…just for kicks here is a picture of me from Halloween day wearing ALL of this makeup that I just raved about so I can prove my point about how it makes your face glow and makes you feel beautiful every day.
